Welcome! The Course Management System (CMS), powered by Blackboard Academic Suite, allows students and faculty to share documents, submit assignments/tests, and view grades among other features. Every course has its own section in the CMS (called a Course), which is automatically created by the Office of the Registrar. Only the course instructor, teaching assistant, and enrolled students have access to that particular CMS Course.
To get started, log in to CMS by entering your NetID and password at the CMS Login page. If you have difficulty logging in, please contact the NUIT Support Center at 847-491-HELP (4357).
After logging in, you'll see the courses you're teaching under the My Courses section. If a course you're teaching is not listed, contact the Registrar at nu-registrar@northwestern.edu or 847-491-5234. Click on the Course you would like to manage. You'll find a lot of helpful features in the Control Panel (the link is on the lower left menu). From there you can:
